Botox, also referred to as botulinum toxin,  is an injectable treatment which effectively treats wrinkles and fine lines. The neuromodulator reduces the appearance of deep facial furrows, like frown lines between the eyebrows and crow's feet, by temporarily reducing the underlying muscle activity responsible for such lines.

While Botox is most known for treating "11" lines and crow's feet, there are also many off-label uses of this "wonder" substance  such as: neck cord treatment, jaw line slimming, chin dimple smoothing, nostril refinement, and lip enhancement (lip flip).

How long does Botox last?

While patients may begin to notice visible improvements within 24-48 hours following their Botox injection, full results will take up to 2-3 weeks . While every patient is different, results from this neuromodulator typically last up to 4 months. 

Dysport Injections-

Like Botox, Dysport is also an injectable neuromodulator effectively used for wrinkles and fine lines. Although many patients cannot tell the difference between the two toxins, anecdotal evidence suggests that while Dysport may take slightly longer to produce visible results immediately following injections, overall,  it has been reported to last longer than Botox. Ultimately, one's preference of Botox vs. Dysport depends on the unique individual.
