Is Daxxify Really a Longer Lasting Botox Alternative? The Truth Revealed.

I'm sure you have heard the hype about a new miracle injection on the market- a Botox alternative promising to last anywhere from six to nine months (versus the typical 3-4 months from that of other popular neuromodulators).

But are these promises too good to be true?

Can cosmetic patients longing to keep their frown lines and wrinkles in check really cut back on the frequency of their toxin treatments by switching to Daxxify? Well...

As a board certified injector who offers Daxxify at my practice, I prefer to keep my patients' expectations realistic.

Does Daxxify last longer than Botox, Dysport or Xeomin? Yes!

But does it last as long as initially advertised? Eh... not quite!

How Long Does Daxxify Really Last?

You see...from what I have observed from the patients I have treated with Daxxify is that, on average, their results last about one and a half to two months longer than the other leading toxins.

So if you are the type of patient who can happily go four months in between your Botox session, it is highly likely you could get by on receiving neuromodulator injections just twice a year with Daxxify.

That being said, Daxxify does cost more than your traditional modulators and because of this, while switching to it will definitely allow you less hassle and maintenance, Daxxify most likely won't amount to significant cost savings. Womp! Womp!...I know!

Now I am sure you are wondering, other than duration of results, how does Daxxify differ from Botox? Well..

How is Daxxify different from Botox?

Although both products are mainly comprised of botulinum toxin A, Daxxify does not contain any human or animal by-products (Botox and Dysport do). Instead, Daxxify is powered by a novel peptide which stabilizes the toxin. This seemingly minute detail is what distinguishes Daxxify from the other leading brands.
